Plasma parameters for a coaxial injector

Abstract
A series of experiments with a coaxial plasma accelerator is described. The characteristic plasma parameters (from velocity. density profile, temperature) are given as functions of the operating regime. It is shown that a neutral gas moves ahead of the plasma front, while the tail of the plasma has a thermal character. The results are discussed. Figs. 6, Refs 8.
