Hypothesis of localism applied to the turbulent flow of an electrically conducting fluid in a magnetic field

D. S. Kovner

Abstract
As a weak of certain additional assumptions, the Loitsyanskii hypothesis relating to the localism of turbulent transfer processes in viscous flows is extended to cover magnetohydrodynamic flows at smooth surfaces and in plane ducts in both longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields. Some of the analytical results are compared with the available experimental data. Figs. 3, Refs 14.
