Experimantal studies of electromagnetic explosion of a sphere and systems of bodies from a conducting liquid under constraints

A. V. Andreev - U. Ts. Andres - S. A. Lin'kova

Abstract
A method for and results of experiments to determine the value of the electromagnetic expulsion force acting in a conducting liquid on individual spherical particles and systems of bodies of regular and irregular shape under constraints are discussed. It is established that when spherical particles are constrained in the direction of the supply current and of the electromagnetic expulsion force, the magnitude of the electromagnetic expulsion increases, whereas it decreases in the presence of constraint in the direction of the magnetic induction. The value of the expulsion force in the presence of constraint in all of these directions is not equal to the sum of the forces acting in each direction individually. A change in the concentration of the solid phase in the ensembles does not affect the value of the electromagnetic expulsion force. Figs 6, Refs 10.
