Weighting function for a flat conduction-type magnetohydrodynamic channel

G. Grinberg

Abstract
A calculation has been made of the weighting function W for an infinitely long flat conduction-type magnetohydrodynamic channel with nonconducting walls. The function W characterizes the contribution of a given element of the channel to the creation of a difference of potentials at the electrodes. A family of isolines has been calculated for W. Using this function makes it possible to calculate the signal at the electrodes, with any given arbitrary distribution of the magnetic field and any given arbitrary velocity profile.
