Force action of an electromagnetic field on the particles of an inhomogeneous medium

Abstract
The solution of the problem of the total force acting on a chosen fixed particle of an inhomogeneous medium in crossed electric and magnetic fields in a conducting liquid medium is presented. The dependence of the effective conductivity of the two-phase medium on the concentration of the dispersive phase is obtained experimentally. The dependence of the electromagnetic force on current density and concentration is investigated. The magnitudes of the electromagnetic expulsion coefficients are found for conducting and nonconducting inclusions in a conducting carrier fluid under constraint conditions for various concentrations of the dispersive medium.
