Influence of a gas blast on certain characteristics of a magnetohydrodynamic generator

Abstract
The system of equations describing, in one-dimensional approximation, the gas flow in the channel of a magneto hydrodynamic generator with a gas blast is solved on a computer. The influence of effects caused by the use of a gas blast - more rapid increase in the thickness of the boundary layer and a decrease in the fullness of the velocity and temperature profiles - is considered. It is shown that additional inhomogeneities introduced by. the gas blast do not lead to a significant reduction in power and internal efficiency for gas blasts that are less than critical.
