Jet in a strong longitudinal magnetic field in a satellite flow

Abstract
Axisymmetric jet flow of a viscous incompressible conducting fluid in a strong longitudinal magnetic field is considered in a linear approximation. Neglecting the induced magnetic field, within the fra~ework of the theory of a MHD boundary layer we obtain a self-similar solution for a jet with given momentum. We investigate the effect of the satellite flow on the profile of the axial velocity component.
