Flow of a magnetized liquid between parallel plates

Abstract
The steady flow of an incompressible magnetized liquid between stationary infinite plates in an external magnetic field with a constant gradient in the direction of flow of the liquid is examined. Distribution curves for the velocity and temperature in the gap are obtained. The feasibility of an MHD device based on this problem is considered. Operating efficiency factors for such a device are introduced.
