Determination of the effective conductivity of a metallic particle in crossed electric and magnetic fields

Abstract
For analysis of some of the processes taking place in a magnetohydrodynamic separator in hydrometallurgical processes with the application of electrical and magnetic fields, it is necessary to know the magnitude of the diffusional current to a particle. The problem of convective diffusion to a spherical particle in a viscous electrically conducting liquid is solved. The results obtained are verified experimentally. The effect of various factors on the effective conductivity of a particle in an electrolyte is disrossed.
