Calculation of boundary layer on porous plate with variable section in a magnetic field

Abstract
The problem of the unsteady boundary layer in the regime of small magnetic Reynolds numbers () is solved for particular values of the suction rate. Steady flow over a plate with arbitrary suction (injection) rate is examined and the boundary layers in the ordinary and magnetohydrodynamic cases are compared. The effect of the magnetic field consists in reduction of the boundary layer and evening out of its profile.
