Free convection in a strong magnetic field

Abstract
The non-self-similar problem of free convection of a viscous thermally and electrically conducting liquid near a plate with an arbitrary temperature distribution on its surface is solved. The solution is given for strong magnetic fields. Exact solutions are found for the inner region, and the equations and boundary conditions for the outer region are constructed in the first three approximations. The equations for the outer expansion are solved by an approximate integration method.
