Abstract
An original method allowed to calculate the distribution of the electromagnetic field and forces originated by a flat linear one-sided inductor of a travelling magnetic field. The finite length and width of the inductor as well as the field induced by the currents in the end parts of the winding coils have been taken into account. The method rests on the summation of vector potentials of the system of elementary closed current loops which are equivalent to the inductor current system. Figs. 4, refs 4.
