Abstract
Tfie electromagnetic braking coefficient for a liquid metal flow through a circular tube in a magnetic field was calculated. The calculation results are compared with those obtained by other investigators, as well as with the calculated pressure head-flow rate characteristics of a helical electromagnetic pump- A good agreement is demonstrated with the experimental data obtained with the latter.
