On the deformation of an aggregate of magnetorheological suspension in a magnetic field

Abstract
By virial technique the behaviour of the compressible microdroplet of the concentrated phase of ferroemulsion in dependence on the external magnetic field strength is investigated. It is shown that due to the compressibility of the microdroplet its elongation at the increase of the magnetic field strength diminishes. It is indicated that existing experimental results can be explained on the basis of the proposed model. Figs 2, Refs 17.
