Stable ordered structures of magnetic particles on surface of liquid

Abstract
Behavior of collective of magnetic particles on a surface of a liquid in external fields, as well as on boundary of liquid and solid body, is investigated. Possibility of creation of stable ordered structures on a liquid surface in presence of external magnetic fields have been revealed. Application of obtained structures for creation of multilevel high-gradient packings in magnetic filters and separators is offered. Figs 4, Refs 9.
