Abstract
The magnetic fluid with fractal clusters is studied. Using the obtained magnetic field potential distribution inside a fractal aggregate, an effective magnetic permeability of a ferrofluid with fractal clusters is found. The equation of balance between free and aggregated particles is considered. The obtained average permeability of the ferrofluid with fractal clusters [μ] is compared with that of the ferrofluid with drop-like microstructures [μ]Σ. The value [μ]Σ has appeared larger than [μ]. The difference increases as the size of aggregates increases. Figs 6, Refs 13.
