Numerical simulation of the operation modes of the cylindrical MHD-pump for dispensing molten aluminum from the stationary mixer

Abstract
The article deals with numerical modelling of a cylindrical induction pump used as a dispenser of aluminum from the furnace. Optimal power settings for a particular mode of operation are also found. Numerical modelling of electromagnetic and hydrodynamic fields (EMF and SE) is conducted in the system `Cylindrical Pump (CP)-working fluid (molten metal)' using the commercial software package ANSYS and CFX.
