Energy-based estimation of stability of the flow excited by the rotating magnetic field

Abstract
With the use of numerical methods, an energy balance based estimate of the stability of primary MHD rotation for a wide range of flow parameters' change is obtained. Good agreement with the exact solution of the problem of flow stability with respect to small perturbations testifies to a possibility of approximate energy-based estimate of such flow stability.
