MFBSAs as therapeutic agents targeting insulin amyloidosis

Abstract
We investigated the ability of albumin magnetic fluids (MFBSAs) consisting of Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles (NPs) stabilized by sodium oleate and modified by different amounts of bovine serum albumin (BSA) to destroy insulin amyloid fibrils. Moreover, we studied the anti-amyloid effect of MFBSAs on cells affected by insulin amyloids. Tables 1, Figs 2, Refs 9.
