Drop structures formed by ferrofluid in the uniform magnetic field

Abstract
Ordered drop structures resulting from the decay of a horizontal layer of ferrofluid under the influence of a normal magnetic field are investigated experimentally in the paper. The quantity and the size of drops are determined by the initial thickness of the ferrofluid layer and by the time necessary to achieve the critical intensity of the magnetic field. Figs 5, Refs 8.
