Investigation of the MHD wave dynamics in thermally unstable plasma

Abstract
The influence of finite electrical conductivity on the MHD-wave dynamics in a thermally unstable plasma medium is investigated. Dispersion relations for magnetoacoustic and Alfven waves are obtained. The influence of the electrical conductivity on the waves' spectrum is described. Adjustments for the magnetoacoustic wave increment are defined. The non-linear evolutionary equation describing non-linear dynamics of fast and slow magnetoacoustic waves is derived analytically. Figs 1, Refs 16.
